Freelance Editing Jobs
I’ve always heard that there is a never ending demand for talented editors. So when I started looking for work armed with my ten years of experience as a freelance journalist, I decided it was time for me to change my freelance career direction towards freelance editing jobs. Not only was it a lucrative freelance opportunity to be in, but it also had the most interesting projects, in my opinion.
So when I set out to browse the internet on various freelance message boards, communities and freelance job listings web sites, I noticed that there were many freelance editing jobs available to me that I could take advantage of. So I decided to look closely at each of them, and realized that my background experience as a journalist would be the basis of a grounded foundation in freelance editing.
The first of the freelance editing jobs I took on was for a small newspaper. I did the work remotely, and the writers for the newspaper, which was situated and published in a small town miles and miles away from me, would submit their work and I was responsible for editing them. It was a pretty good challenge, not a bad first experience as well.
So I decided to explore more freelance editing jobs. I took on several jobs at a time, knowing full well that I had the ability to manage my time effectively, and that I could make more money working on several projects at once. I handled the workload very well, and time came where I started to take on even more work.
With so many freelance editing jobs available out there, why aren’t you exploring the possibility of turning your love and talent for editing into a money making freelance job?
