Freelance Writer Job

Did you ever find a freelance writer job you didn’t enjoy? Ask Meg White, a freelance writer for over twenty years. Meg started back while she was in college, and quickly built a reputation that led her to many interesting projects. But amidst those projects, Meg ran into several freelance projects that she didn’t like.

“I remember one freelance writer job that I had to do for a business man who was very cocky and full of himself,” Meg recalls. “I would advise him on how he should present the information to his potential investors, as I was given the task to write an investment opportunity prospectus, but he would always contra my ideas and spill out his own. I hated it!”

Meg found the process to be very painstaking and annoying, as well as frustrating and time consuming. To think that someone would hire her for a freelance writer job and end up dictating his own thoughts and ideas without the input of Meg. So how did Meg handle the situation, while still keeping the client happy?

“I gave him two alternative end projects for this particular freelance writer job. One with his ideas splurged all over the pages, and one with my neatly presented, story book stile proposal. I didn’t tell him which was which, but I just gave him both and told him to decide which he would use.”

He ended up using Meg’s ideas and the freelance writer job was a success. And guess what? He ended up hiring Meg for even more work. Excited about what had happened, Meg knew she had the talent to convince even her clients how amazing she really is.
