Job Sports Writer

So you know how to play the game. You’re very chatty when it comes to talking to your friends about sports. So you must be wondering if there is one way or another to make money writing about sports so that you can do something you truly love and enjoy all at once. With that said, are you looking for a job sports writer? Are you talented enough to take your passion of sports and make it a career?

There have been many hockey fans, baseball fans, football fans and sports fans of all sorts of games and sports that have sought out and found job sports writer opportunities. With some sports writers working on a freelance basis, project per project, while others work full time as sports writers for magazines and newspapers, and also work for online internet web sites.

I met a chatty sports writer once who had told me that he recently got a job sports writer for a sporting events and entertainment web site. But when he told me that he was writing for a Texas Hold’em web site, I was astounded. Since when was poker a sport? But he argued that the web site covered more than just poker. It was also a web site devoted to football fans.

When you want to find a job sports writer position, where is the first place that you would go? The obvious answer would be to head over to the internet and find job postings. But is that really as simple as it gets? Believe it or not, it would be beneficial for sports writers to develop a profile or resume before even thinking about getting hired. Many companies want to seek out talented sports writers and offer them a job sports writer opportunity.
